A two-vehicle crash near the Montgomery-Lowndes County line Thursday, Aug. 20, claimed the life of a Pensacola, Fla. man.
Corporal Jess Thornton of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said, “Roosevelt Dial, 27, was killed when the 2010 Freightliner tractor-trailer he was driving collided with a 2013 Kenworth tractor-trailer.”
Thornton said Dial was pronounced dead at the scene.
He said the crash occurred at 3:50 p.m. on Interstate 65 near the 159 mile marker, which is near the Montgomery-Lowndes County line.
“The collision closed the interstate for several hours,” Thornton said. “Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
