Obituary for Jane Carolyn Hargrove Farrior

Jane Carolyn Hargrove Farrior died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at her home in Hayneville, Alabama following a brief illness. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama on February 12, 1922 to Mr. and Mrs. Whiting Owen Hargrove (Carolyn Rebecca McPherson).
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dickson Farrior, Jr.; her husband’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Dickson Farrior; by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Espy Farrior; her brother-in-law, William Rufus Porter, and her nephew, William John (Buddy) Hargrove.
Mrs. Farrior is survived by her son, William Dickson Farrior, III and his wife, Patricia McRee Farrior, of Hayneville; her daughter, Jane Carolyn Farrior Boone and her husband, James B. Boone, Jr., of Tuscaloosa; her brother, William Owen (Billy) Hargrove and his wife, Lisa, of Hope Hull; her sister-in-law, Anne Elizabeth Farrior Porter of Selma; her grandchildren, William Dickson Farrior IV and his wife, Melanie, of Letohatchee; Caroline Farrior Boone and Catherine Garrett Boone of Tuscaloosa; her nieces, Marolyn Hargrove Morrow (Robert), Selma; Betty Porter Rivers (C. E.), Selma; Margaret Porter Ward (Phillip), Birmingham; her nephews, James Fort Hargrove (Gay), Hope Hull; William Rufus Porter, Jr. (Donna), Selma; John Espy Farrior, Jr., Montgomery; William Robert Farrior (Jeri), Letohatchee, and Dr. Olin Fields Farrior (Kathy), Brewton.
Grave side services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 2010 at the Hayneville Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 30, 2010 at Hayneville Presbyterian Church.
Pall bearers will be James Fort Hargrove, James Whiting Hargrove, William Peyton Hargrove, George Reese McCurdy, III, Patrick Eugene McPherson and William Rufus Porter, Jr. Honorary pall bearers will be Harry Elliott Allen, Jr., Stuart Harrison Frazer, Francis Carl Kummel, Charles Hamilton McPherson, Dr. Thomas Orson Patterson, James Carl Reeves and Elders and Deacons of Hayneville Presbyterian Church.
Leak-Memory Chapel of Montgomery, 334-272-6501, is directing the services.
