Montgomery law enforcement officials have two burglary suspects in custody in connection with a string of thefts along the Montgomery and Lowndes County lines.

Edward Lee Carter, 18, and Pamela Goldsmith, 24, were arrested last week for their alleged connection with a series of burglaries, said Lowndes County Sheriff Charlie “Chip” Williams.

Williams said the two suspects have admitted to only one burglary in Lowndes County, but have acknowledged at least two other burglaries in Montgomery, Williams said.

“If the suspects make bond in Montgomery, they will still have to make bond here,” said Williams.

Investigators are working to recover the items stolen.
