Flash flood warning issued

A flash flood warning is in effect for Lowndes County until 5:30 p.m.
At 3:30 p.m., radar indicated thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall, including one to two inches across the warned area with several small areas of heavy rain still expected to move in over the next hour.
Additional localized flooding is still possible. Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to occur.
Locations that will experience flash flooding include: Benton, Booth, Mulberry, Tyler, Vida Junction and White Hall.
