The Lowndes County Farmers Federation’s Board of Directors will be offering two $1000.00 scholarships to high school seniors this academic year.

An application can be picked up by students and parents at the Alfa Insurance Company in Hayneville or from your counselor after January 3.

These scholarships forms must be filled out and returned by March 1 to Alfa Insurance Co. PO Box 188, Hayneville Al 36040.

You can also drop the application by the Alfa office in Hayneville.

There are, however, some requirements for students who wish to apply.

First, the seniors parents of grandparents must be a member of the Lowndes County Farmers Federation.

Also, the senior must reside in Lowndes County and have a 3.0 grade point average or better.

All information must be turned in no later than March 1, 2012.

Students who are interested in applying for the scholarship should also supply a copy if their school transcript, plus two letters of recommendation.
