Commission to continue meeting tonight

The Lowndes County Commission will resume its meeting from Monday night tonight, Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Monday night the commission heard from Barbra Evans, Dr. Aaron McCall and Helenor Bell on various matters from executive sessions and negative publicity to the positives of the broadband project.
Commissioners also discussed various matters including the availability of documents and the role of the media.
The commission received a report from County Engineer David Butts and unanimously approved a consent agenda including a $2,000 appropriation for the Edge Wood Tutorial Program, a $500 appropriation for The Keeper Of The Brotherhood and a $1,000 appropriation for the Elmore Bolling Foundation.
The commission also unanimously voted to recess until 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25.
