The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Lowndes County until 3:30 p.m.

A flood warning means flooding is imminent or occurring.  Seek higher ground immediately.  Do not drive or walk into areas where water crosses the road.

National Weather Service radar indicated rain continuing to spread across the area.

This rain is falling on areas that are already experiencing flooding from earlier rainfall this morning.

This will only prolong flooding that is still ongoing as additional runoff occurs.
