Fort Deposit was the setting for a real old-fashion tractor show and pull at Calico Fort on Saturday.
That’s because it was the day of the “Pullin In The Pines Antique Tractor Show & Pull.”
The event was sponsored by the Fort Deposit Arts Council as a benefit project for the Fort Deposit Volunteer Fire Department.
“This year the focus is still on the first responder vehicles purchased last year,” Fort Deposit Mayor Fletch Fountain said. “Donations are helping to outfit this vehicle with a specially built pull tray to hold all necessary equipment.”
Fountain said donations and proceeds from the show will go toward this equipment needed to provide safety for the volunteers as they provide for the safety of citizens.
In the Farm Stock Class, the tractor had to be a factory available model before 1960.
In the Classic category the tractor has to be factory available model in production before 1970.
