Fort Deposit Christmas parade set for Dec. 13

The sights and sounds of Christmas will be on full display as the annual Christmas parade lines the streets of downtown on Dec. 13.
Floats, cars, horses, and motorcycles will make their way from Lowndes Middle School down Old Fort Road to the National Guard Armory parking lot.
“We want everyone to come out and participate and enjoy the parade,” event organizer Geraldine Fountain said.
“We all want this to be an amazing event for everyone to enjoy.”
Participants for the parade will assemble at 9 a.m. at Lowndes County Middle School. The parade is set to start at 10 a.m.
The deadline to register to march or enter a float is Dec. 7.

Float registration is available for $20, all other categories are $10.
Marching bands, drill teams and city officials may register free of charge.
