The Alabama Career Center System will host a free job readiness workshop on Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Montgomery Career Center.
According to the Alabama Department of Labor, the workshop is to help area jobseekers prepare for a job fair also to be held in Montgomery on Feb. 17 at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex.
The Feb. 17 job fair is sponsored by the Alabama Career Center System / Department of Labor, WSFA 12 News, and the City of Montgomery.
Staff from the Montgomery Career Center will conduct the training, which will cover such topics as résumé preparation, interview skills, how to “dress for success,” and soft skills such as timeliness and proper communication skills. Workshop participants will receive a Certificate of Participation that they can present to employers at the job fair.
The workshop is free and open to all who are interested, but registration is strongly encouraged.
