Morgan Academy defeated Macon East 14-4 to win the championship of the Junior Varsity Baseball Tournament hosted by Lowndes Academy Friday and Saturday, March 11-12.
In Saturday’s action,Lowndes Academy lost to Crenshaw Academy 3-2 with Tyler Franklin going two for three at bat for Lowndes and pitching five innings for the Rebels giving up three hits and three run.
Morgan Academy defeated Coosa Valley Academy 15-0, Hooper defeated Fort Dale 8-4, and Macon East defeated Crenshaw 7-6.
Previously in Friday’s Junior varsity Baseball Tournament action: Lowndes defeated Coosa Valley 10-0, Hooper defeated Morgan 7-6, Morgan defeated Fort Dale 19-0, Crenshaw defeated Fort Dale 15-14, Hooper defeated Lowndes 10-3, Macon East defeated Coosa Valley 12-2, and Macon East defeated Crenshaw 5-1.
