Suspects wanted for multiple crimes in Lowndes County

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information as to the whereabouts of three of five suspects wanted for multiple crimes committed in Lowndes County.
Two of the suspects have already turned themselves in said Lt. G. LaShun Hutson and Lt. Lenny Lee of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, Monday.
Hutson announced on Friday that he was asking anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Barry Blackmon Jr., Quientin Terrell Carter, Justin Rashaun Lawrence, LaMario Omar Lawrence and Leon Lawrence to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 334-548-2222 or 334-5482151. He confirmed later that all of the suspects were of age.
Monday, Lee confirmed that Leon Deon Lawrence, 30, of Tyler, and Barry Blackmon Jr., 26, of Hayneville, have both turned themselves in.
He said Lawrence is charged with two counts of harassment, theft of property in the third degree and harassing communications. He said Blackmon is charged with theft of property in the third degree.
According to Hutson, those callers as to the whereabouts of the suspects can remain anonymous.
He said the suspects are “wanted for multiple crimes committed in Lowndes County for robbery, burglary, reckless endangerment and assault where two victims were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries… Hutson said one of the victims was sent to UAB Birmingham with an eye injury from the pellet from a “shotgun blast.”
