A single-vehicle crash on Lowndes County Road 45 at 11p.m. Saturday, June 11, claimed the life of a Fort Deposit man.
According to Jesse Thornton of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), “Deondre Goldsmith, 19, was killed when the 2002 Jaguar he was driving left the road, struck a utility pole and several trees.”
Thornton reported Goldsmith was pronounced dead on the scene.
He reported that the crash occurred on Lowndes County Road 45 about 5 miles north of Ft. Deposit. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
