Fannie Mae Taylor of Fort Deposit celebrated her 100th birthday Saturday, June 11 at the Fort Deposit Municipal Complex from 3-4 p.m. She was born June 13, 1916 to Sarah and Vance Poole of Butler County, but said she spent all her adult life in Fort Deposit. She had eight children, Willie Taylor Jr., Sarah Frances McMeans (deceased), Sarah Louise Murrell, Curtis Lee Poole (deceased), Pearlie McHenry, Rosie Carter, Marjorie Harrison and Robert Poole. She had 26 grandchildren, more than 50 great-grandchildren, more than 30 great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great grandchildren.
