Three candidates including one incumbent have qualified for the mayor’s race in Fort Deposit  and two unopposed incumbents have qualified for council seats in the town leaving three seats unfilled for the upcoming municipal election.

According to the town of Fort Deposit,  incumbent Mayor Fletcher Fountain, Irish Simmons and Barry Robinson have qualified to seek the office of mayor.

In District One, incumbent Darrell Heartsill in unopposed. leaving one seat open.

In District Two, incumbent Jacqulyn D. Boone is unopposed, leaving two seats open.
