The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Lowndes County among others today, expiring at 10 p.m.

Areas affected include: Autauga; Bibb; Blount; Calhoun; Chilton; Clay; Coosa; Dallas; Elmore; Etowah; Fayette; Greene; Hale; Jefferson; Lamar; Lowndes; Macon; Marengo; Montgomery; Perry; Pickens; Shelby; St. Clair; Sumter; Talladega; Tallapoosa; Tuscaloosa; and Walker counties.

In addition, Lowndes is also a flood warning until 10 p.m. tonight. Other counties under the warning include: Autauga; Bibb; Chilton; Coosa; Elmore; and Montgomery.
