The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a flood advisory for Saturday, July 15 for north central Lowndes County until 12:45 a.m.
At 9:49 p.m. Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.

The National Weather Service says turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
