Lowndes County Engineer reported that a tree was down on Lowndes County Road 26 between Hayneville and Lowndes County Road 6, but has been cleared. And Alabama Power reports power outages in Fort Deposit and Greenville.
At 8 a.m., Alabama Power reported there are approximately 10,750 Alabama Power customers without service in central Alabama including 150 in Fort Deposit and 1,240 in Greenville. Statewide, the Company reports 71,000 customers without service.
The outages are concentrated in the following areas: Montgomery – 4,230 customers, Wetumpka – 1,850 customers, Greenville – 1,240 customers, Chilton County – 800 customers, Dallas County – 770 customers, Auburn – 600 customers, Prattville – 220 customers, Marion – 210 customers, Camden – 170 customers and Ft. Deposit – 150 customers
Other outages exist in Dadeville, Alexander City, and Tallassee.
Michael Keith Joran of the Southern Company reported, “Crews are working to restore service where safe to do so.”
