The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Lowndes County until 10 p.m. tonight, Sunday, Oct. 8.
The county remains under a Flash Flood Watch until 7 p.m. tonight, Oct. 8.
Sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph are possible with some
gusts into the 35 to 45 mph range.
These wind speeds and gusts are capable of knocking
trees down, snapping some tree limbs, damaging unsecured smaller
outdoor items, and may produce some power outages.
The Wind Advisory and Flash Flood Watch includes August, Dallas and Montgomery counties in our area.
