Six shot at BIG SWAMP Lounge, suffer non life-threatening injuries

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the Sunday, July 8 shooting of six individuals who received non-life threatening injuries at the BIG SWAMP Lounge on U.S. 80 in the White Hall area.
Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Lenny Been said on July 8 at about 11 p.m., “Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s office responded to a shooting at the BIG SWAMP Lounge located at 565 U.S. Highway 80 West in the Whitehall area.”
Lee said, “A total of six individuals received gunshot wounds and were transported by passenger car to the Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery prior to the arrival of law enforcement.” He said, “All of the victims received non-life threatening injuries.”
Lee said the suspect in this incident was also shot and received non-life threatening injuries.
However, he said, “No arrests have been made and names are not being released at this time pending further investigation. More information will be released regarding this incident as it becomes available.”
