The Fort Deposit Police Department is looking for a white male who allegedly entered the Fort Deposit Subway at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 and robbed it without a weapon.
Fort Deposit Police Chief Terry Steiner said the suspect, a white male, did not use a weapon, but allegedly ordered food and when asked if he wanted to pay with cash or credit said “Times is getting hard and just put the money in the bag.”
He said the suspect was last seen leaving in a rusty grey Toyota or Nisan vehicle.
He said Fort Deposit Police considers this a “robbery” because he had a hand in a pocket.
Steiner said anyone with information should Call 911, or Fort Deposit Police at 334-227-4331, or the Lowndes Sheriff’s Office 334-548-2323. Also anyone with information can call Central Alabama CrimeStoppers using its 24-hour tip line at 215-STOP or download its P3-tips app, or give your information through the web at www.215STOP.com or the Facebook page at Central Alabama CrimeStoppers.
