The Lowndes county Improvement Association (LCIA) monthly meeting on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Hayneville Church of Christ will include a tribute and memorial service in observance of Dr. Martin L. King Jr.’s birthday holiday celebration and the official swearing in of guest speaker State Senator Elect Malika S. Fortier (D-23).

There will also be a tribute to former State Senator Henry “Hank” Sanders (D-23) for his distinguished service.
