Fort Deposit Police seeking public’s help with burglary

The Fort Deposit Police Department is seeking the public’s help in connection with a burglary that occurred on Thursday, Jan. 17.

According to Central Alabama CrimeStoppers, on Jan. 17, between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m., the Petro Plus Convenience Store located off Interstate 65 in Fort Deposit was burglarized by two unknown subjects.

“The suspects made off with a great deal of tobacco products and about $600 in change,” CrimeStoppers reports.  “They were described as wearing dark clothing and driving a small four-door vehicle, blue or black in color.”

And CrimeStoppers reports  a video was recovered that exposes the face of one of the offenders.

Fort Deposit Police Chief Terry Steiner said the suspects broke the front glass of the building to get in. He said he and Chris West were dispatched to the scene by E-911.
