The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering cash if you can help authorities find out who intentionally set a fire at the Fort Deposit Post Office recently.
A reward of up to $10,000 is available for those who provide information leading to the arrest and conviction or the person or persons responsible for the fire, which took place either late June 25 or in the early hours of June 26.
The Post Office suffered heavy damage during the fire.
The case is being jointly investigation by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Alabama State Fire Marshal and the Fort Deposit Police Department.
According to the United State Postal Inspection Service, the same reward amounts may be payable for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person who acted as an accessory to the fire, was involved in a conspiracy to commit the crime or received or has unlawful possession of any property secured through the crime.
Any information concerning the fire can be directed to the United States Postal Inspection Service at (888) 876-5322, the Alabama Arson Hotline at (800) 654-0775 or the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office at (334) 548-2222.
