Wallace voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week

Iyuanna Wallace was voted as Lowndes County’s Athlete of the Week. She is a junior at Central High School in Hayneville, playing guard for the Lady Lions basketball team. She hit three big three-pointers for nine points in the game against Holtville. Wallace won Athlete of the Week by receiving 39%, 114 out of 293, of the votes. Iyuanna Wallace, a junior at Central High School in Hayneville. os voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week. She plays as a guard for the Lady Lions’ basketball team and hit three big three-pointers for nine points in the game against Holtville.
Haley Briggs is a senior at Lowndes Academy. She plays basketball and volleyball with the Lady Rebels and cheers throughout the school’s sports season. Haley scored 32 points this week in two games. She had 10 points against Edgewood in a loss and scored 22 points when Lowndes met Macon East in the varsity girls’ basketball team’s first win of the season.
Tyler Robertson is a junior at The Calhoun School. He plays combo guard on the Tigers’ basketball team, averaging 22 points and 12 rebounds in wins over Dallas County and R.C. Hatch. Along with being a star student-athlete on the court, Tyler excels in the classroom, carrying a 3.92 grade point average (GPA).

Haley Briggs from Lowndes Academy and Tyler Robertson from The Calhoun School were also nominated for their athleticism and setting the standard for excellence on and off the field. Congratulations to Wallace and all athletes nominated this week.
