On Mar 26, Lowndes County Middle School hosted a student career fair that included businesses and organizations from the Black Belt and surrounding areas. The students asked impromptu questions and received great feedback.
Lowndes Middle School’s motto is, “Exceeding, Expectations, Everyday.” John Holland’s Theory of Career Choice (RIASEC) maintains that in choosing a career, people prefer jobs where they can be around others who are like them. They search for environments that will let them use their skills and abilities, and express their attitudes and values, while taking on enjoyable problems and roles.
Because of the fair, students are looking forward to a bright future. We would love to have more stakeholders to partner with Lowndes County Middle School next school year!
