Carlton represents Auburn at regional symposium

Lowndes County native Will Carlton represented “the 45” among more than 400 students and industry professionals attending a civil engineering symposium recently held in New Orleans.
Carlton is a native of Fort Deposit, currently in his junior year at Auburn University. He represented his school and Auburn’s Society of Civil Engineering at the American Society of Civil Engineering Gulf Coast Symposium during spring break.
As captain of the Auburn team, Carlton led the group to win two first-place finishes in the steel bridge and sustainable solutions competitions, second place in surveying and geo-wall competitions as well as third place in the concrete canoe professional paper category.
Carlton is majoring in civil and environmental engineering at Auburn. He is the son of Gray and Missy Carlton and grandson of Chris Phelps of Fort Deposit.
