The Lowndes County Unincorporated Wastewater Program (LCUWP) has been awarded a grant to install septic systems for homeowners living in unincorporated areas of Lowndes County. 

“We will be working in conjunction with the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) to process and complete installations,” said Carmelita Arnold, LCUWP program director.

“If your need for repair or installation is urgent, please let us know,” Arnold said.

The criteria for deciding urgency and priority for installation or repairs is not completely known as yet, Arnold explained. Residents who have comments or concerned regarding the matter should direct their communication to LCUWP or County Commissioners listed:
