Davis voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week

Jakobian Davis has been voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week for Week 27. He is a junior at Central High School in Hayneville.
Davis plays baseball for the Lions and in their 15-3 win over RC Hatch, he was named player of the game. Davis went two for four with five RBI’s. He had a bases loaded triple and a single.
Johnson won this week’s award by receiving 80%, 1,295 out of 1,610, of the votes.
Izzy Sullins from Lowndes Academy and Layla Olyphant from The Calhoun School were also nominated for their athleticism and setting the standard for excellence on and off the court. Congratulations to Davis and all the student-athletes for being nominated this week.
Athlete of the Week is made possible by the joint efforts of The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Public Schools Athletic Director Nickles Rankins, and through the cooperation of the coaches and administration of Central High School, Lowndes Academy, and The Calhoun School.
