Downed tree shuts down power cross-county power

A fallen tree shut down electricity for more than 1,800 residences across Lowndes, Crenshaw and Montgomery counties Wednesday. Power was restored around 5:15 p.m.
Alabama Power reports 1,870 customers between Letohatchee in Lowndes County and Grady in Montgomery County were without power May 15 in an area reaching down just south of Highland Home.
According to the utility company, crews began working to restore power around 1:30 p.m. and expected complete restoration around 5 p.m.
