An Editorial Opinion of The Lowndes Signal

The Greenville Newspapers, Inc. team was named Boone Newsmedia 2023 Newsroom of the Year and Newsroom of the Quarter for December 2023. The achievement is a testament to the support of readers in Lowndes, Butler and Crenshaw counties as well as the team’s dedication to serving the communities in which their lives have established deep roots and long-lasting relationships.

The staff, whose combined efforts publish and distribute The Lowndes Signal, The Greenville Advocate  and The Luverne Journal, celebrated the award with a luncheon and award ceremony at The Chicken Shack in Luverne on June 20. Each staff member expressed gratitude for the accolade, the result of their efforts to cover the people, places and events which are near and dear to the hearts of readers and to the newsroom team.
