The Lowndes County Cattlewomen’s Association (LCCW) held its annual recognition dinner June 27, honoring a local father and awarding scholarships to three local students.
The association held the dinner at Harrell and Son’s Farms in Hayneville. Association member Amy Martin presented Kyle Harrell with the Father of the Year Award.
Kyle and Ann Louise Harrell have four children: Ann Kathryn, Emma O’Neal, Kyle and Walt. Ann Louise serves as the association’s president and presented the scholarships during the event.
Three local students received LCCW scholarships: Cooper Dansby, Laura Ann Casey and Hope Holiday. The association conducts fundraisers to provide scholarships, employing efforts like the group’s annual auction to collect donations.
