Theatre Camp

Lowndes Middle School in Fort Deposit will host a Rodney Wilkerson and The Drama Tower of Power Theatre Summer Camp July 8 – 12 and July 15 – 19 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The camp is for ages 12 – 18. The performance is scheduled for July 18 at 1 p.m.

Movie Matinee

Lowndes County Public Schools will present a Back-to-School Rally: Movie Matinee Edition on Saturday, July 20 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in The Calhoun School Gymnasium. The event includes free food, school supplies and giveaways. Bring a blanket or chairs and enjoy the show.

Financial Management 

The Alabama Cooperative Extension is hosting a Wise Money financial management workship Thursday, July 11, at 11 a.m. The free event will be held at the Good Sheperd Community Center located at 1258 Main Street in Mosses featuring instructor Cynthia White, regional Extension Agent.

Pre-K Program

First Years Child Development Center, First Class Pre-K offers a free 4-year-old program from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for working parents and 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for non-working parents. Classes start in August. Space is limited. Call Katina Surles at (334) 281-8627 for more information.

LCUWP Applications

The Lowndes County Unincorporated Wastewater Project is accepting applications for septic system installation or repair at its office located at 507 W. Tuskeena Street in Hayneville. Call (334) 548-2006 or stop by Monday, Wednesday, or Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an application.

Head Start
