Highway 80 crash claims life of Georgia man

A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3:25 a.m. Sunday, July 28, has claimed the life of an Albany, Ga. man. Kelpsie Lott Jr., 39, was fatally injured when the 2020 Freightliner he was driving left the roadway and overturned.
Lott was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 80 near the 101 mile marker, approximately 4 miles west of White Hall, in Lowndes County.
First worked throughout the day and by around 3 p.m. the roadway was clear. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
