Hayneville Middle School will hold an open house on Aug. 5 at 5 p.m.

Lowndes Academy

Lowndes Academy will host an elementary school open house on Aug. 5 at 6 p.m. beginning in the lunchroom. The high school open house will take place Aug. 6 at 6 p.m. beginning in the auditorium.

Central Elementary

Central Elementary will host a back-to-school open house Aug. 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Lowndes Middle

Lowndes Middle School is hosting an open house Aug. 7 at 5:30 p.m.

The Lowndes County Schools’ Board of Education will meet Aug. 8 from 6-8 p.m. at the Central Office.

Central High School’s open house will take place Aug. 13 at 5 p.m.

HIM Graduation

Hope Inspired Ministries will hold graduation on Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at Lowndesboro Baptist Church at T54 North Broad Street in Lowndesboro.

Pre-K Program

First Years Child Development Center, First Class Pre-K offers a free 4-year-old program from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for working parents and 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for non-working parents. Classes start in August. Space is limited. Call Katina Surles at (334) 281-8627 for more information.

LCUWP Applications

The Lowndes County Unincorporated Wastewater Project is accepting applications for septic system installation or repair at its office located at 507 W. Tuskeena Street in Hayneville. Call (334) 548-2006 or stop by Monday, Wednesday, or Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an application.

Head Start
