Dr. Ozelle Hubert, interim director, CEO and president for the Lowndes County Area Chamber of Commerce participated in a community summit on health and wealth July 20. Hosted by the Montgomery City of Refuge Church in Montgomery, the discussion was aimed at providing action points for building community strength in addressing medical and healthcare needs. Hubert talked with attendees about a recent chamber request to the National Parks Service, asking that all references to the Voters Rights March from Selma to Montgomery should include mention of Lowndes County.
