Martyr Pilgrimage

The 27th Annual Jonathan Daniels and the Martyrs of Alabama Pilgrimage will take place Saturday, Aug. 10 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Lowndes County Courthouse Square.

HIM Graduation

Hope Inspired Ministries will hold graduation on Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at Lowndesboro Baptist Church at T54 North Broad Street in Lowndesboro.

Be Ready

The Lowndes County Extension Office will host Be Ready Lowndes County, a severe weather preparedness training, at the Town Hall in Mosses Aug. 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Free radios will be available, one per household while supplies last. Call (334) 548-2315 for information.

White Hall

The Town of White Hall will host a Community Come and Go meeting to discuss partnership with the Design Place Program for community growth on Aug. 15, 5 – 6 p.m. at the White Hall Town Hall at 989 Freedom Road.

Pre-K Program

First Years Child Development Center, First Class Pre-K offers a free 4-year-old program from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for working parents and 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for non-working parents. Classes start in August. Space is limited. Call Katina Surles at (334) 281-8627 for more information.

LCUWP Applications

The Lowndes County Unincorporated Wastewater Project is accepting applications for septic system installation or repair at its office located at 507 W. Tuskeena Street in Hayneville. Call (334) 548-2006 or stop by Monday, Wednesday, or Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an application.

Head Start

The Lowndes County BOE has opened Head Start registration for children ages 3 and 4 for the 2024-2025 program year. Current immunization records, proof of income, and proof of age are required to register. Call (334) 548-2145 or visit www.lowndesboeheadstart.org for information.
