One month into the new school year, student-athletes across Lowndes County are giving their all and showing off on the field and in the classrooms. Community support is vital to their efforts, so we’re asking you to step up your game to by voting for Lowndes County’s third Athlete of the Week.

Nominated for recognition this week are Jamarcus Webb from Central High School, Lowndes Academy’s Addison Bridges and JaCarrie Peagler, student-athlete at The Calhoun School.

The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Athletics are partnering to elevate our young men and women in the Athlete of the Week contest. Thanks to the help of Calhoun Lighthouse, Lowndes Academy and Central High School, Hayneville and our sponsors Blackbelt Unincorporated Wastewater Project and Hayneville QV, we have an opportunity to encourage student-athletes and reward their dedication.
