Crawford Dansby has been voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week for Week 6. He is a junior at Lowndes Academy where he plays wing back and middle linebacker for the Rebels.
Lowndes Academy Head Football Coach Shane Moye said Dansby made two rushing touchdowns during the Rebels’ recent 55-0 win over Clarke Prep.
Dansby secured Athlete of the Week by capturing 80%, 187 out of 234, votes cast in the contest.
Jadarius Wilson from The Calhoun School and Danjuama Gordon from Central were also nominated for their athleticism and setting the standard for excellence on and off the field. Congratulations to Wilson and Gordon for being nominated this week.
Athlete of the Week is made possible by the joint efforts of The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Public Schools Athletic Director Ervin Starr and sponsors, the Black Belt Unincorporated Wastewater Program and the Hayneville QV, as well as the cooperation of the coaches and administration of Central High School, Lowndes Academy, and The Calhoun School.
