Voting has opened for the ninth round of Athlete of the Week, the community’s opportunity to support the student athletes representing Lowndes County.

Nominated for recognition this week are Jamarcus Webb from Central High School, Lowndes Academy’s Brooklyn Bullard and Aileen Fonseca, student-athlete at The Calhoun School.

The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Athletics are partnering to highlight our young men and women in the Athlete of the Week contest. Thanks to the help of Calhoun Lighthouse, Lowndes Academy and Central High School, Hayneville and our sponsors Blackbelt Unincorporated Wastewater Project and Hayneville QV, we have an opportunity to encourage student-athletes and reward their dedication.
