Lowndes County schools honored local veterans on Thursday and Friday, presenting programs to recognize veterans’ service and sacrifice and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to their country.
The Central High School in Hayneville Junior Officer Training Corps (JROTC) held its annual Veterans Day program Friday morning at 9 a.m., giving students an opportunity to hear firsthand what service to country means.
