Multiple crashes occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, causing a lane closure.
The westbound lane of U.S. Highway 80 near Gardner Circle in Lowndes County while Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division investigated the crashes and worked to clear the scene.

Around 10 p.m. ALEA Lt. Jeremy Burkett announced the roadway had been cleared and reopened.
