This week in Lowndes County basketball, the Central-Hayneville Lions stand at 3-and-2 on the season with both losses coming at the hands of Wilcox Central (80-63, 84-66). The Lions are led by a trio of players. 

Forward Christian Lawrence is averaging 20 points per game. Guard Iyanis Wallace is at 33% field goals and Quindarious Williams averages 7 rebounds a game.

The Lions will play Ellwood Christian Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

The Calhoun Tigers stand at 1-3 on the season, with their only win being at Keith as they defeated the Bears, 64-60. So far this season, the Tigers have scored 263 points while giving up 279.

Senior Tyler Robertson leads the Tigers in scoring with a 30-point average per game. Tayler Robertson, a junior, is also a team leader with 16 rebounds a game and Ladarius Thigpen has a 64% field goal average.

The Tigers travel to RC Hatch Friday, with tipoff set for 8 p.m.
