The Town of Hayneville hosted its annual Christmas Parade Saturday. Local residents turned out to enjoy the festive atmosphere, cold but sunny weather with sweet and savory treats, all for the price of a new, unwrapped toy. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots was on hand to collect the donations which will help make a happy Christmas for area children. From classic cars, ATVs and horses to the Lowndes County Public School’s Get Lit Mobile Library, parade-goers enjoyed an appearance by the Grinch, who couldn’t manage to steal their holiday spirit.
