A senior at The Calhoun School is currently leading Alabama high school basketball players, ranked at No. 1 for scoring.

Tyler “T4” Robertson is ranked at No. 1 for averaging 31.1 points per game (PPG). And, if that’s not impressive, the small forward and shooting guard is at 249 points, 74 field goals, 64 free throws and 82 rebounds on the season.

The Tigers are at 4-and-8 and first in the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Class 2A Area 5 and coming off a 60-30 win over JU Blacksher. Robertson, who is at the top of his game after improving his points average from 13.3 as Freshman to 31.1 as a senior, said his primary focus is set on the team’s success.

“I’m not worried about the individual success,” he told administrators in a recent interview. “I want to win [the] 2A state basketball championship.”

Robertson has been MaxPreps Player of the Game twice this season and was awarded the honor six times during the 2023-2024 season. He was the 2023 Lowndes County Athlete of the Week for The Calhoun School and has twice earned the distinction of being named Lowndes County Athlete of the Week.

A multi-sport standout, Robertson also plays football as quarterback and offensive linebacker for the Tigers. He is a star in the classroom too, maintaining a 3.9 grade point average (GPA).

With an eye toward state playoffs, the Tigers take on JU Blacksher Jan. 16 at 7 p.m.
