Warene Francis Favor Parrish, a native of Mt. Willing, and a resident of Fairhope, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the age of 82.
Warene was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. For those who knew her, knew Warene as outspoken, kind, caring and a faithful Christian. Warene was a farm girl and loved caring for her horses and various farm animals. She is well known by family and friends for her avid storytelling. She loved antiques and was an antique dealer for many years. She was selfless and always willing to help those in need by giving of her time and talents. Not long after Warene moved to Fairhope, she began baking cakes for the community Senior Adult Center. She was a faithful member of Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church. Of her many hobbies and enjoyments, Warene loved bird watching and caring for the birds. She will be sorely missed by her family and close friends.
“Blessed is she who believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her” (Luke 1:45)
Warene is preceded in death by her parents, Alexander R. Favor and Lucille H. Favor, her husband, John A. Parrish and son, Alan Parrish. She is survived by her two sons, Steve (Cheri) of Fairhope and Kevin (Whitney) of Loxley; her grandchildren, who were the delight of her life, Jack (Julia), Reid (Madeline), Grace and Andy; along with other family members and friends.
A family graveside service will be held at New Bethel Braggs Cemetery in Minter on Feb. 1.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the John Thomas Mission Fund at Eastern Shore Baptist Church, 6846 Park Drive in Daphne, AL 36526.
