Jo Ann Thomas, age 77, passed away on Jan. 27 at Orchard Healthcare in Hayneville.
Funeral Services was held on Thursday, Jan. 30, beginning at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home with Reverend Dwight Underwood officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial followed in Sunrise Memorial Park. The family received friends for visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until service time.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A Thomas; her parents, R.O. and Annie Merle Mitchell; brother, Jack Mitchell; sisters, Judy Shelley and Joan Butts and brothers in law, Dale Puckett and Charles Butts.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Joe Thomas (Tina); and grandchildren, Gina Frigon (Pete), John Moore (Shelby) and Dakota Thomas; great grandchildren, Alina Taylor, Brady Walker, Layla Till and Gracelyn Moore; sisters, Janice Puckett, Jean Carol Easter (Jerry), Jill Day (Bennie) and Jennifer Underwood (Dwight); brothers, Jimmy Michell (Carolyn), Scott Mitchell and Johnny Mitchell (Kelly) along with several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Jo Ann was a resident of Butler and Covington counties. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.
