Rebels pick up homecoming win

The Rebels, under head football coach Matt Marshall, picked up their second win of the season Friday night to go 2-2, defeating Abbeville Christian Academy for homecoming 18-14.
Garrett Headley scored on a 90-yard touchdown run and a 58-yard touchdown pass reception. Willie Nall also scored on a 52-yard pass reception.
Coaches say the Rebel defense played much better this week and claimed three interceptions by the trio of Nall, Cody Harrell and David Hussey.
Derek Pearson made 11 tackles and John Blackmon had five.
On offense, Headley had 13 carries for 131 yards and two catches for 64 yards. Nall had two catches for 57 yards. And Harrell was 8 for 15 passing with 181 yards.
The Rebels travel to play South Choctaw Academy this Friday.
