“Very disappointing,” was about all Central High head football coach James Bibb could say Friday night after his Lions fell to Zion Chapel 50-12 at home  in Hayneville Friday night.

Terraris Saffold, always a solid player for the Lions, scored on an 8-yard run, and Quintin Carter returned an errant Rebels’ pass 70 yards for a touchdown. The 2-point tries failed.

The loss dropped the Lions to 0-6 on the season.

“We didn’t put forth a great effort tonight,” Bibb said. He said no one really stood out in this encounter.

The Lions go on the road this Friday night to Goshen to face the Goshen Eagles.
