Rebels pick up fourth win of season

With Toby King back in the lineup from a broken collarbone, the Lowndes Academy Rebels improved to 4-5 on the season Friday night with a 35-13 win over the Jackson Academy Eagles at home.
King, who was injured in the second game of the season at Sparta, had 21 carries for 144 yards and two touchdowns. He had one catch for 15 yards and completed one pass for 25 yards and one touchdown.
Also standing out offensively for the Rebels, Garrett Headley had four carries for 33 yards, as well as six receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns.
Willie Nall had two receptions for 68 yards. And Cody Harrell was 8 of 11 for 106 yards passing.
Harrell also had nine carries for 31 yards and one touchdown, as well as added all the extra point boots. He also completed a pass to Headley for a 2-point conversion.
The Rebels’ starting defense only allowed three first downs.
Derek Pearson and John Blackmon had nine tackles each. And King grabbed one interception.
The Rebels will close out the season Thursday, Oct. 26 on the road against Morgan Academy in Selma.
